The more people look for work, the more scammers target them. In August 2026 the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) warned about fake recruitment offers that promise high salaries and immediate hiring, then ask applicants to pay fees or share personal and banking details.
8 signs an offer is fake
- A salary far above the market for the role and the experience required.
- Instant hiring with no real interview, or after a short WhatsApp chat.
- A request for fees for the visa, to “reserve the job” or to “activate your account”.
- Requests for bank details or copies of your passport and Emirates ID before any formal offer.
- A generic email address (Gmail, Hotmail) instead of a company domain.
- Easy online tasks with fast earnings, such as liking posts or rating products, followed by a “deposit” to unlock more tasks.
- Time pressure: “Pay today or you lose the opportunity.”
- A company with no footprint: no website, no LinkedIn page, no clear address.
How to verify a job offer officially
According to the ministry, a genuine offer is issued on the approved job offer form, which carries a unique serial number and barcode. You can verify it through:
- The MOHRE smart app.
- The ministry's official website.
- The call centre: 600590000.
How to protect yourself while job hunting
- Apply through well-known job sites and companies' official careers pages. See the best job sites in the UAE.
- Look the company up on LinkedIn and check that real employees work there.
- Don't send your passport or Emirates ID until after an interview and a clear offer.
- Never put your Emirates ID or passport number on your CV.
Training is not a job guarantee
Any party that “guarantees you a job” in exchange for money should raise a red flag. At zTraining Club we say it upfront: we are a training and career-readiness provider. We don't hire and we don't promise jobs. What we offer are tools that improve your chances: an ATS-friendly CV, interview practice and hands-on certified courses.
